bhūrbhuvaḥ suvaḥ svarūpā maha ityetasya hiraṇyagarbhasya vyāhṛtyātmano brahmaṇo'ṅgānyanyā devatā ityuktam । yasya tā aṅgabhūtāḥ, tasyaitasya brahmaṇaḥ sākṣādupalabdhyarthamupāsanārthaṁ ca hṛdayākāśaḥ sthānamucyate, sālagrāma iva viṣṇoḥ । tasminhi tadbrahma upāsyamānaṁ manomayatvādidharmaviśiṣṭaṁ sākṣādupalabhyate, pāṇāvivāmalakam । mārgaśca sarvātmabhāvapratipattaye vaktavya ityanuvāka ārabhyate -
sa ya eṣo'ntarhṛdaya ākāśaḥ । tasminnayaṁ puruṣo manomayaḥ । amṛto hiraṇmayaḥ । antareṇa tāluke । ya eṣa stana ivāvalambate । sendrayoniḥ । yatrāsau keśānto vivartate । vyapohya śīrṣakapāle । bhūrityagnau pratitiṣṭhati । bhuva iti vāyau ॥ 1 ॥
suvarityāditye । maha iti brahmaṇi । āpnoti svārājyam । āpnoti manasaspatim । vākpatiścakṣuṣpatiḥ । śrotrapatirvijñānapatiḥ । etattato bhavati । ākāśaśarīraṁ brahma । satyātma prāṇārāmaṁ mana ānandam । śāntisamṛddhamamṛtam । iti prācīnayogyopāssva ॥ 2 ॥
sa iti vyutkramya ayaṁ puruṣa ityanena sambandhyate । ya eṣa antarhṛdaye hṛdayasyāntaḥ । hṛdayamiti puṇḍarīkākāro māṁsapiṇḍaḥ prāṇāyatano'nekanāḍīsuṣira ūrdhvanālo'dhomukho viśasyamāne paśau prasiddha upalabhyate । tasyāntaḥ ya eṣa ākāśaḥ prasiddha eva karakākāśavat , tasmin so'yaṁ puruṣaḥ, puri śayanāt , pūrṇā vā bhūrādayo lokā yeneti puruṣaḥ manomayaḥ, manaḥ vijñānaṁ manuterjñānakarmaṇaḥ, tanmayaḥ tatprāyaḥ, tadupalabhyatvāt । manute aneneti vā manaḥ antaḥkaraṇam ; tadabhimānī tanmayaḥ, talliṅgo vā । amṛtaḥ amaraṇadharmā । hiraṇmayaḥ jyotirmayaḥ । tasyaivaṁlakṣaṇasya hṛdayākāśe sākṣātkṛtasya viduṣa ātmabhūtasya īśvararūpasya pratipattaye mārgo'bhidhīyate - hṛdayādūrdhvaṁ pravṛttā suṣumnā nāma nāḍī yogaśāstreṣu prasiddhā । sā ca antareṇa tāluke madhye tālukayorgatā । yaśca eṣa tālukayormadhye stana iva avalambate māṁsakhaṇḍaḥ, tasya ca antareṇa ityetat । yatra ca asau keśāntaḥ keśānāmanto mūlaṁ keśāntaḥ vivartate vibhāgena vartate, mūrdhapradeśa ityarthaḥ ; taṁ deśaṁ prāpya tenāntareṇa vyapohya vibhajya vidārya śīrṣakapāle śiraḥkapāle, vinirgatā yā, sā indrayoniḥ indrasya brahmaṇaḥ yoniḥ mārgaḥ, svarūpapratipattidvāramityarthaḥ । tathā evaṁ vidvānmanomayātmadarśī mūrdhno viniṣkramya asya lokasyādhiṣṭhātā bhūriti vyāhṛtirūpo yo'gniḥ mahato brahmaṇo'ṅgabhūtaḥ, tasmin agnau pratitiṣṭhati, agnyātmanā imaṁ lokaṁ vyāpnotītyarthaḥ । tathā bhuva iti dvitīyavyāhṛtyātmani vāyau, pratitiṣṭhatītyanuvartate । suvariti tṛtīyavyāhṛtyātmani āditye । maha ityaṅgini caturthavyāhṛtyātmani brahmaṇi pratitiṣṭhatīti । teṣvātmabhāvena sthitvā āpnoti brahmabhūtaṁ svārājyaṁ svarāḍbhāvaṁ svayameva rājā adhipatirbhavati aṅgabhūtānāṁ devatānāṁ yathā brahma ; devāśca sarve asmai aṅgine balimāvahanti aṅgabhūtāḥ yathā brahmaṇe । āpnoti manasaspatim , sarveṣāṁ hi manasāṁ patiḥ, sarvātmakatvādbrahmaṇaḥ sarvairhi manobhistanmanute । tadāpnotyevaṁ vidvān । kiṁ ca, vākpatiḥ sarvāsāṁ vācāṁ patirbhavati । tathaiva cakṣuṣpatiḥ cakṣuṣāṁ patiḥ । śrotrapatiḥ śrotrāṇāṁ ca patiḥ । vijñānapatiḥ vijñānānāṁ ca patiḥ । sarvātmakatvātsarvaprāṇināṁ karaṇaistadvānbhavatītyarthaḥ । kiṁ ca, tato'pi adhikataram etat bhavati । kiṁ tat ? ucyate - ākāśaśarīram ākāśaḥ śarīramasya, ākāśavadvā sūkṣmaṁ śarīramasyetyākāśaśarīram । kiṁ tat ? prakṛtaṁ brahma । satyātma, satyaṁ mūrtāmūrtam avitathaṁ svarūpaṁ vā ātmā svabhāvo'sya, tadidaṁ satyātma । prāṇārāmam , prāṇeṣvāramaṇamākrīḍā yasya tatprāṇārāmam ; prāṇānāṁ vā ārāmo yasmin , tatprāṇārāmam । mana ānandam , ānandabhūtaṁ sukhakṛdeva yasya manaḥ, tanmana ānandam । śāntisamṛddham , śāntirupaśamaḥ, śāntiśca tatsamṛddhaṁ ca śāntisamṛddham ; śāntyā vā samṛddhavattadupalabhyata iti śāntisamṛddham । amṛtam amaraṇadharmi, etaccādhikaraṇaviśeṣaṇaṁ tatraiva manomaya ityādau draṣṭavyamiti । evaṁ manomayatvādidharmairviśiṣṭaṁ yathoktaṁ brahma he prācīnayogya, upāssva ityācāryavacanoktirādarārthā । uktastūpāsanāśabdārthaḥ ॥
